The following comic project involved Key Stage 3 students. The comic tells the true story of a local sailor in 1857 who is persecuted and killed by the ship's captain on a voyage from Hartlepool to Liverpool.

The workshop involved discussing the story and planning each illustration. Working as a team, the students produced drawings for each part of the story, which were then digitized and laid out in comic format. The comic was printed and made available to visitors at the Hartlepool Maritime Museum.
